Code of Ethics

ACOS has developed a strict set of ethical guidelines that govern the actions of consultants in their relationships with students and families, schools and colleges, and with colleagues. These include a responsibility to understand each student's special strengths, values and needs, while striving to include all family members in the educational planning process.

All members of ACOS are expected to conduct their business ethically, in accordance with the law of the land and as per immigrations laws policies and procedures of the subject country. It is mandatory for the members to follow the Code of Ethics in letter and spirit. Any violation will make the member liable for disciplinary action and termination of membership: 

  1. Maintain high standards of professional conduct of business upholding this code all times
  2. Members of Association shall not do work permits without having legal permission to do it.
  3. Member will not work on package deals for student visa for different countries.
  4. Demonstrate appropriate attributes and qualities to competently service the needs of students/parents
  5. Establish appropriate resources and procedures required to provide professional services to students
  6. Refrain from unjustified criticism of other educational consultants and institutions and seek to resolve any conflict of advice directly with the party concerned in a professional manner
  7. Provide students and institutions with information they need and avoid withholding relevant information
  8. Advertise in ethical manner by not engaging in false, misleading or damaging messages
  9. Work with institutions and professional bodies as a provider of high quality educational advisor
  10. Always act in the best interests of the student, while respecting institutional policies, statutory and legal.
  11. ACOS member consultants must ensure that no direct / indirect act or statement of his should affect the business of reputation of any other consultant.
  12. No member consultant will lure or incite the employee of any other consultant. NOC / concurrence is to be taken from the previous employer if the selected employee had been working for another immigration consultancy company irrespective of position and status of the employee.
  13. ACOS member consultant will try to resolve all matters of dispute bilaterally. Failing which the matter will be referred to the ACOS whose decision will be final and binding.
  14. ACOS member consultants should display prominently the credentials of his organization i.e.
  • Company Registration
  • Any other certifications / credentials
  • Code of Ethics
  • Certification from ACOS
